Escape The Dark
John 12:46-48
I have come as a light
I have come as a light
to shine in this dark world,
so that all
who put their trust in me
will no longer remain
in the dark.
I will not judge those
who hear me
but don’t obey me,
for I have come
to save the world
and not to judge it.
But all who reject me
and my message
will be judged
on the day of judgment
by the truth
I have spoken.

God bless you, friend.
God, our hearts break this morning for the women and men who remain in darkness…not because they have not heard your word, but because of the worldly weeds of pride, pleasure, and possessions that are choking back the ability to flourish. At the same time, we confess that some of these weeds continue to plague our garden plots too…trying to recreate dark spots to block your light from shining through…Jesus, we boldly ask you to help set fire to these weeds so that only your vine remains…God, we know our mission is to scatter seed, till the soil, and provide water….but we do not have the power to make your Spirit grow…in ourselves or in others…and so we depend on only you for this. God, the desire of our heart is to produce good fruit so as to honor and celebrate you. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for your Son. Thank you for your Spirit. Amen
