What Peter seems to be saying is that although we begin our LIFE through faith, growth doesn’t just happen…but instead, growth is a process…we have to walk with God in order to grow…walking with Jesus requires effort, investment, discipline, and sacrifice…abide…and abiding ain’t easy… and certainly not for the faint of heart…but if we’ll abide…and walk with Him…and talk with Him…this growth will ultimately lead to unselfish love as the capstone of all God’s work in us…now that’s good stuff…
God, we desire to walk and talk with you in an unhurried way…every day…in every kind of way…so that we are growing in excellence…and increasingly Walking the Talk…in Love…God, it feels like we are just getting started. I love how, if we just abide, you find a way to make it all about you. Amen.
