Bread Alone

Matthew 4:2-4
After fasting for forty days,
Jesus was extremely weak
and hungry.
Then the tempter came
and said to Jesus,
“If you are the Son of God,
tell these stones
to become loaves of bread.”
But Jesus told him,
“No!
The Scriptures say,
‘Man does not live
by bread alone.
True life is found
in a steady stream of words
from the mouth of God.’”
